Sri Lanka Hosts 2nd Wing Tsjun Seminar & First Grading with Sifu Thomas Simon (2012)
On August 12, 2012, Sri Lanka witnessed another milestone in its Wing Tsjun journey with the 2nd Wing Tsjun Seminar, conducted by Sifu Thomas Simon and organized by Wing Tsjun International – Sri Lanka Branch. This seminar marked a significant step in expanding Wing Tsjun Kung Fu in the country, following the foundation laid by Grandmaster Thommy Luke Böhlig’s first visit in 2011.
During the seminar, Sifu Thomas Simon, a highly respected instructor of Wing Tsjun International, provided in-depth training on advanced techniques, self-defense applications, and the philosophy of Wing Tsjun Kung Fu. The event attracted both beginner and experienced martial artists eager to refine their skills under his guidance.
Adding to the significance of this seminar, Sri Lanka hosted its First Official Wing Tsjun Grading in 2012, conducted by Sifu Thomas Simon. Students had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge, marking an important step in their martial arts journey. This grading session validated their progress and reinforced the international standards of Wing Tsjun training in Sri Lanka.
The successful organization of this seminar and grading further established Sri Lanka as an active hub for Wing Tsjun Kung Fu under Wing Tsjun International. It also strengthened the connection between Sri Lankan practitioners and the global Wing Tsjun community, ensuring continued growth and excellence in martial arts education.
With each event, Wing Tsjun International Sri Lanka Branch continues to inspire and elevate martial arts training in the country, paving the way for future seminars, gradings, and international collaborations.
